Real Estate Council's official media sponsor.
Smart Growth Network
A coalition of private sector, public sector and non-governmental partner
organizations seeking to create smart growth. The Smart Growth Network's
partners collaberate with the EPA's Urban and Economic Development Division on
outreach programs, technical assistance, research, publications, and other
projects.
Colorado Office of Smart Growth
Proposed by the Smart Growth initiative, the Office of Smart Growth (OGS) was
created to assist local governments in addressing the unique public impacts of
growth. The mission of the OSG is to provide direct technical and financial
assistance to local governments in the areas of land use planning and growth
management.
Sprawl Watch Clearinghouse
A resource center which provides information, advice, and referrals on issues
related to sprawl and smart growth.
Planners Web
A product of the Planning Commissioners Journal. The Journal is a national
publication for the non-professional citizen planner who serves on city, county
or regional planning boards.
Urban Land Institute (ULI)
A non-profit education and research institute. Its mission is to provide
responsible leadership in the use of land in order to enhance the total
environment.
The Center for Livable Communities
Helps local government and community leaders be proactive in their land use and
transportation planning and adopt programs and policies that lead to more
livable and resource-efficient land use patterns.
Center of Excellence for Sustainable Development
Helps communities design and implement innovative strategies that enhance the
local economy as well as the local environment and quality of life.
American Farmland Trust
Works to stop the loss of productive farmland and to promote farming practices
that lead to a healthy environment. AFT assists private groups, public
agencies and individual landowners in meeting their farmland protection goals.

Joint Center
for Sustainable Communities
Provides a forum for cities and counties to work together to develop long-term
policies and programs that will lead to job growth, environmental stewardship
and social equity. The Joint Center is helping local elected officials build
sustainable communities by promoting community leadership initiatives, providing
technical assistance and training, and conducting community policy and
educational forums.
Trust for Public Land
Practices a unique blend of market-based entrepreneurial conservation. TPL works
in collaboration with communities and organizations around the country to bring
private land into public ownership and to help create parks, greenways,
riverways and to protect those traditional landscapes that define the character
of where we live. TPL helps communities acquire endangered open space, create
urban parks and promote bond issues to purchase open spaces.
Sustainable Communities Network
Connects citizens with the resources they need to implement innovative processes
and programs to restore the economic, environmental and social health and
vitality of their communities.
The Growth Management Institute
A small nonprofit organization established to encourage effective and equitable
management of growth and change in human habitats. The Institute promotes
strategies and practices to achieve sustainable urban development and
redevelopment in harmony with conservation of environmental goals.
